ALWAYS as first. It's up to the person who posted the item if they want it to be reposted.
My personal policy is that if I post something f-locked, it shouldn't be reposted. If it's unlocked, it's fine, but again, always ask.
And if someone can bring themselves to repost, they should ask for themselves. We can't judge if we don't know where it's going.
I'm skeptical of shyness.
I've been burned before, so this is why I have this policy.
